This is from right next to our house on May 13 in the morning, this was planted on May 4. It looks great and you could row it by the evening, shows what a little heat like we had the last few days can do.

Time for beans
Switching to beans on May 9. Finished corn on May 6, took 5 days to plant all the corn.
Dodge the rain
Fortunately the rain went north. We went west, then east, then west, then east, then west, then east, then west......etc....
The buddy seat
A very important part of the tractor is the buddy seat. It holds valuable equipment as shown here, much needed especially after a big lunch. The kids are.developing thicker skulls from head bumps on the window in rough spots.
Planting 2011
A few shots of corn planting. The soil worked up great. A broken marker cylinder did not slow us down as the auto steer saved the day.

Kickin it!
Oh this farm life is tough as Owen shows while riding in the tractor preparing our first field of the season. I didn't know a buddy seat could be this comfy.
